SPECIAL HOTEL & RESORT DEALS

Luxury Digs for Less
The St. Regis Monarch Beach begins the final phase of its $30 million full-scale renovation – set to be completed by spring 2016. Guest rooms will be refreshed and other new looks will include a redesigned lobby, five new dining concepts, an expanded pool area and new pool bar, a Miraval spa and renovated public spaces.

This Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond beachfront resort in Dana Point, California will feature Beach house-inspired guest rooms with panoramic windows, over-sized seating, wide plank wood floors, and sea-glass color accents.
The revitalized Club 19 will offer a new Gastro Pub dining experience with an outdoor terrace warmed by a large fireplace, panoramic Pacific views, happy hours, tequila flights and a breakfast, lunch and an evening lounge menu.
The new outdoor oasis will feature an infinity-edge Ocean Pool, private cabanas with built-in music and stocked outdoor mini-bars, increased poolside chaise lounges and an outdoor fire pit surrounded by couches. The new multi-level design features a second tier dedicated to sunning and lounging. Guests can order small bites and cocktails from Sombra poolside cantina via smartphones and tablets without ever having to leave their chaise lounges.
Guest experiences will include activities such as stand up paddleboard and surf lessons, trail hikes to Bluff Top for hilltop views, exclusive marine adventures through the Ocean Institute, and access to one of the most exclusive beaches in Southern California. The resort is home to the Robert Trent Jones-designed Monarch Beach Golf Links. The resort will remain open during the renovation and will offer a special $195 room rate and $495 suite rate through its completion in spring 2016. The resort will waive resort fees and offer discounted parking.  Signature guest rooms will be priced from $795 a night after the renovation is completed (yes, that’s just shy of $800!) — making the $195 a sweet bargain.
