TRAVEL TIPS & TIDBITS

When to Book a Cruise Deal
Based on an elaborate study by CruiseWatch.com, a next-generation cruise search engine, finds prices for cruise sailings are cheapest five weeks before setting sail.
The study considered more than 25,000 cruise sailings.
The best discounts can be found in the weeks prior to sailing, with average reductions of 4% for interior and ocean-view cabins. Cruises that aren’t a complete sell-out can release cabins at up to a 40% reduction. Although the study found that more expensive cabins, balcony cabins, and suites have less or no price reductions.
The search engine CruiseWatch.com offers free price drop monitoring that utilizes big data and machine learning to help find the perfect time to book their cruise. Users can get notified automatically when prices are reduced or when good deals are coming up. Even a price forecast is included on the web page.

Airport WiFi Worldwide
Finding an open wireless connection in many airports isn’t always easy, or possible, without a password. The difficulty of getting online is why WiFox was created.
WiFox is based on a map of wireless passwords from around the world, letting users around the world add password information from airports as they travel. Passwords are then verified and added to the map, which is updated in real-time when you have an Internet connection. All of the hotspots are shown on a map, available for offline use, as well as in a searchable list view.
WiFox Features:
Copy Passwords Directly: Wifi icons on the worldwide map indicate if password information is available. You can find the lounge or terminal where wireless is available and copy the password directly from WiFox into your phone’s settings.
Unlock Time Restrictions: Access points with time limits are also shown but WiFox shows you how to get around time-based restrictions.
Updated In Real-Time: Travelers can rate password information for updates or send an updated password for verification directly through WiFox.
Rating System Keeps Password Information Current: WiFox’s wifi icons are color coded to let you know how fresh and reliable a given access point’s password information is.
In airports without free public wireless, sitting right outside of the airline lounge doors are a good bet for finding an open connection.
WiFox is a $1.99 on Google Play on iTunes.
Note: Understanding public WiFi risks will ensure important data doesn’t become just another hacking statistic. Follow some tips from Norton to be on the safe side of the bad guys.

Fees climb higher after flights are reserved and even higher when adding these options at airport check-in. Kayak offers the most up-to-date Fees Chart for all domestic and international airlines.
