TRAVEL TIPS & TIDBITS

Ryder Cup
The Ryder Cup is played in even-numbered years between 12-member teams from the United States and Europe. It consists of five match-play sessions played over three days. And, it’s the hottest ticket in golf when the USA team will defend against a European side desperate to reclaim the Cup.
There are only three ways to obtain admission tickets to the Ryder Cup event to be held September 25-30 at Le Golf National in Paris. However, registration for General admission tickets has now closed.
Travelers can still purchase official ticket and accommodation packages through Prime Sport.

An Official Ryder Cup Experience includes accommodation at the 4-star Novotel Tour Eiffel hotel in Paris, Ryder Cup ticket, transfers, invitation to a Friday party with Ian Woosnam and on-site concierge services and event management.
The exclusive two-night experiences start at £899 per person ($1,180) including 1 Ticket Day and at £1,169pp including 2 Ticket Days. Three-night experiences start at £1,319 per person including 2 Ticket days and at £1,579 including 3 Ticket Days.
Another package rate from $1,845 per person ($2,195 single) includes a two-night stay at the Hyatt Regency Etoile (check-in September 26), Thursday and Friday Grounds Pass to the 2018 Ryder Cup at Le Golf National, daily course transportation, souvenirs and assistance from onsite staff.
Several other packages available for the golf fan at Prime Sport.

New in Florida
The James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art has opened in the heart of St. Petersburg’s downtown, blocks from the Museum of Fine Arts, the Dalí Museum and the planned Museum of American Arts and Crafts Movement.
Tom and Mary James’ museum will feature roughly 400 pieces of art, including sculptures, paintings and Native American jewelry depicting life in the Wild West.
An astonishing 98% of artists to be featured in the new museum are currently alive. Tom and Mary chose to support living artists so that they could make their earnings solely from their creative works.
In addition to its extensive collection of artwork, the James Museum aims to educate visitors on American history. There will be youth and adult education programs focusing on the lives of Native Americans and pioneers, as well as cowboys and cowgirls.
Admission tickets are $18 general; $15 students/military/seniors 65+; $10 for ages 7-18.
