New Cruise Line Policy
Norwegian Cruise Line has made a major change to the company’s carry-on liquid policy effective on sailings starting July 15:
‘At Norwegian Cruise Line, the safety and security of our guests and crew is our top priority. To ensure a safe and enjoyable onboard environment for all, guests are prohibited from bringing any beverages – including liquor, beer and non-alcoholic drinks such as water, soda and juices – on board the company’s ships either as carry-on or checked luggage.’
The new policy was created to reduce passenger screening for quicker embarkation.
There are a few exceptions to the new policy: Wine (subject to a corkage fee) and purified or distilled water used for medical devices or infant formula.

TSA PreCheck Promotions
To help alleviate long TSA lines at the airport, Southwest Airline’s Rapid Rewards members can bypass the $85 TSA Pre-application fee with a redemption of 9,000 Rapid Rewards points. Those who take advantage of this offer will be mailed an authorization code for enrollment.
TSA PreCheck provides trusted travelers with an expedited and more efficient security screening process, and it’s available at many Southwest operated airports.
As a TSA PreCheck traveler you can save time and avoid removing the following items:
3-1-1 liquids
Light jackets
The Southwest Airlines offer valid through August 22.
TSA PreCheck requires a personal interview at airport application centers.
Delta Air Lines now offers discounts (and some free) memberships in the CLEAR trusted traveler program — although CLEAR is not yet available at Hartsfield-Jackson ATL (click here for current locations). The $179 annual membership fee is waived for Diamond Medallion SkyMiles members; $79 for Platinum, Gold and Silver members; and $99 for other SkyMiles members.

Questions for TSA? Tweet ’em
Travelers can now ask the TSA questions – and get answers – through Facebook Messenger.
In addition to the @AskTSA customer service account on Twitter, flyers now have two paths to connect with the TSA for real-time assistance.
The goal is to help clarify policy and procedures on topics such as security checkpoint wait lines to what is permissible to take through security checkpoints or in checked baggage.
One question that stumped the @AskTSA social media team was a question about whether a live fish could be brought through a security checkpoint. It turns out that you can bring a live fish through security, and there’s no limit on the liquid if the fish is alive.s

NOTE: Airline fees can and often do exceed the cost of your flight! Additional charges now apply to budget and sale rates on most airlines for a carry-on bag, checked baggage and advance seat assignments. The least expensive fees are charged when these options are added during the flight booking process. Fees climb higher after flights are reserved and even higher when adding these options at airport check-in. Kayak offers the most up-to-date Fees Chart for all domestic and international airlines.
