Don’t Miss That Flight
A new feature on the TripIt app, ‘Go Now’, uses stored flight information with your current location and traffic conditions on when to leave for the airport.
The app organizes all booked aspects of a trip from car rentals, hotels, and tours on a dashboard.
The ‘Go Now’ feature can also display a countdown clock, which shows them how much time remains before you’ve got to leave for the airport.
The feature becomes available 24 hours before a domestic flight and uses the standard guidance of arriving 90 minutes before flight departure.
The free TripIt app is available on iOS and Android.
TripIt Pro costs $49 a year (after a free 30-day trial) which offers additional features like refund notifications, real-time flight alerts, and point tracking.

NOTE: Airline fees can and often do exceed the cost of your flight! Additional charges now apply to budget and sale rates on most airlines for a carry-on bag, checked baggage and advance seat assignments. The least expensive fees are charged when these options are purchased during the ticket booking process. Fees climb higher after flights are reserved and even higher when adding these options at airport check-in. Kayak offers the most up-to-date Fees Chart for all domestic and international airlines.

Memphis Pyramid
You can now spend a night in a Bass Pro Shop in downtown Memphis! The Big Cypress Lodge is located within the new Bass Pro Shops Pyramid and features over 100 distinctively appointed rustic rooms and suites. Some of the rooms are suspended overlooking a swamp (with fish and gators) of 100-foot cypress trees planted in the Pyramid to resemble tree houses. Others are decked out like vintage duck hunting camps and decorated with Ducks Unlimited artwork.
All rooms feature fireplaces, handcrafted furniture, and many rooms have porches or balconies.
The centerpiece Governor’s Suite offers commanding views of the Pyramid, vaulted ceilings, a full kitchen and a private terrace overlooking the expanse of the entire Pyramid.
On site is a 13-lane, ocean-themed bowling alley, alligator ponds, the world’s tallest freestanding elevator and more. Guests and visitors can choose from several dining options including The Lookout, which offers a 360-degree view of Memphis.
Average room rates from $255 a night.
For attractions, there’s of course, the 535,000 square feet of Bass Pro Shops. Nearby are other Memphis staples, including Beale Street and Graceland.

Windy City Deal
Book spring and summer trips to Chicago at The James, an art-filled boutique hotel one block from Magnificent Mile shopping at a rare discount. Readers of Travel + Leisure rank The James as one of the top 10 hotels in the city.
Rates for standard King and double queen rooms start from $109 a night in March, $129 in April and $159 in May and July. June stays are also available at $199 per night, when other nearby luxury hotels are $400 a night, or more. Larger studio and suites are also available at a discount.
A unique hotel feature is the KEYPR in-room concierge tablet system. Arrange a wake-up call, order ice or more towels just by tapping the touch-screen (currently, The James is the only hotel in Chicago with this feature).
Many rooms also have cozy dining nooks with a sofa and a table. Prior guests suggest rooms facing the interior courtyard for a quieter stay.
On site is Primehouse, one of the city’s best steakhouses.
Guest amenities include free bikes to borrow and local car service to the Loop and River North. The hotel also has an expansive 24-hour fitness center and a full-service spa which includes an aromatherapy foot bath with each service.
This family-friendly hotel welcomes kids with a welcome kit and milk and cookies at turndown.
