World’s Most Popular Airbnb Rental
With over 2 million Airbnb listings one would imagine the most popular is a room in a French chateau, an Italian villa or a beach front Caribbean cottage for two.  Nope.  It’s an eco-friendly, mushroom-shaped geodesic dome surrounded by redwood and oak trees in Aptos, California. Guests have awarded the rental with a five-star rating.
This tiny dome cabin was booked every day during 2015 with the exception of three nights (rental costs averages $110).
The quaint town of Aptos combines the redwoods and the sea in one idyllic setting. Historic Aptos Village boasts boutiques, restaurants, a farmers market and antique shops. For a seaside stroll, Seacliff State Beach is the perfect spot for a picnic or barbecue, where the S.S. Palo Alto, ‘the cement ship’, an experimental concrete vessel, is docked at the end of a fishing pier.

Hang with a Local
Icelandair has launched a new Stopover Buddy service, which provides visitors to Iceland an authentic Icelandic experience.
Passengers flying to Europe on Icelandair can request a Stopover Buddy with similar travel interests, including, hiking, nature, food, culture or just city sightseeing.
The assigned local Buddy will tailor a trip to Iceland based on their shared interests.
Check out a favorite swimming pool, café, or boutique. Go hiking on a secret trail, practice yoga at a secluded hot spring, or explore a favorite spot to view the northern lights. The time spent together is up to the passenger and their Buddy.
Birkir Holm Gudnason, CEO at Icelandair, is one of the available Buddies, offering passengers a tour of his hometown and a day of backcountry skiing.
Visitors could also pair up with Margret, 64, a flight attendant of 30 years who is an expert on geothermal springs.
Enjoy a cooking lesson in traditional Icelandic fish dishes with travel consultant, Inga, 45.
Passengers wanting to keep active on their stopover may find themselves on a running or cycling tour with fitness enthusiast Dagur, 51, who has worked in Icelandair’s IT department for 20 years.
The more adventurous guests can spend time with pilot Sigrun, 44, whose passion is bike racing down icy mountains.
The Stopover Buddy service will be available free of charge to April 30.
Icelandair offers service to Iceland from: Boston, Chicago, Denver, Edmonton, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New York-JFK, Newark, Seattle, Toronto, and Washington DC and seasonal service from Anchorage, Halifax, Montreal, Orlando, Portland OR, and Vancouver. Connections through Icelandair’s hub at Keflavik International Airport are available to more than 20 destinations in Scandinavia, the U.K. and Continental Europe.
Only Icelandair allows passengers to take an Icelandair Stopover for up to seven nights at no additional airfare.

NOTE: Airline fees can and often do exceed the cost of your flight! Additional charges now apply to budget and sale rates on most airlines for a carry-on bag, checked baggage and advance seat assignments. The least expensive fees are charged when these options are added during the flight booking process. Fees climb higher after flights are reserved and even higher when adding these options at airport check-in. Kayak offers the most up-to-date Fees Chart for all domestic and international airlines.

Unlimited Air Travel
A new service from Onego will offer an all-you-can-fly service across America with unlimited flights. Those signing up can even collect frequent flyer points on well-known carriers. Rates start from $1,500 per month.
More than 700 routes between 76 airports are covered on the nationwide monthly subscription plan. Users will need to sign up for a OneGo subscription, paying a one-time account set up fee of $495, and download an app to their mobile device.
Four different plans are available – East, West, Central and National – which can be cancelled any time.

  • The West Coast plan, which covers 14 airports including Las Vegas and Los Angeles, costs $1,500 per month.
  • The East Coast plan, covering 39 airports including Miami and New York City, is pricier at $2,300 each month.
  • The Central plan, for example between airports like Houston and Austin, is $1,950 per month.
  • For those who regularly fly across the country, a $2,950 per month National plan is also available.

Once signed up and subscribed, users can browse through scheduled economy flights on airlines such as American Airlines, Delta and United.
Passengers can only have four open reservations at any one time. There are also additional costs for baggage, cancellation and changes as well as a premium for last-minute flights.
Only iPhone users will be able to enjoy the perks of unlimited flights until an Android version of the app is launched in March.
