From now until October 31, Verizon says there will be several ways for members to redeem their remaining points before they expire, including saving on gift cards, merchandise, local offers, sweepstakes and auctions.

The program generally offers discounts — like 10% off gift cards— so money still comes out of your pocket.

The company says it’s replacing Smart Rewards with a new rewards program called Verizon Up. You can enroll now by following the instructions in the latest version of the My Verizon mobile app.

Here’s how Verizon describes the new program on its website:

“Sure, we’ve got amazing once-in-a-lifetime experiences and front-row tickets, but we’ve also got tons of good stuff like Apple Music, Uber rides, sports gear, coffee and more. No points or levels required. Get one credit for every $300 you spend on your Verizon Wireless monthly bill. 1 credit gets you 1 reward. And some don’t even need a credit. It’s that simple.”

Verizon Up is open to everyone on a Verizon Wireless standard monthly plan.
