Google Wallet wants to be your go-to source for sending money to anyone in the U.S. using just their phone number or email address.
Google makes mobile pay easier
Need to pay the baby sitter? Want to split the tab at lunch with a co-worker? Google has you covered—whether you’re on mobile or desktop.
To use Google Wallet you first have to add a debit card. Then you’re ready to send and receive money with no additional fees.
To send money, simply enter the recipient’s email address or phone number and press ‘send.’ (The recipient will also have to add a debit card account to receive the money.)
If you’re on the receiving end of a payment, you can cash out instantly to your bank account.
Google Wallet is available for both Android and iOS.
Just one of many mobile pay apps
Google Wallet is just one of many possibilities for transferring money on your phone. Other popular apps that serve the same purpose include Venmo and Facebook Messenger. But the granddaddy in this field is Square Cash.
Each of these apps has strengths and weaknesses based on functionality, and each will appeal to different users based on their personal needs. Check them out and see which one best fits your lifestyle!
