Merger madness has seized the TV and wireless industry. Dish Network is looking to buy Sprint for a cool $25.5 billion, according to reports.

Dish Network apparently believes pay TV is a dying industry and wants to get into wireless. Earlier this year, Dish was eyeing Metro PCS and Clearwire.

One thing’s for sure. Dish Network honcho Charlie Ergen is no dummy. He’s right that more and more Americans are cutting the cord. They’re watching more content online at cheaper prices than they’re being charged by the traditional pay TV incumbents.
