As part of this new agreement, CBS broadcast stations, CBS Sports Network, Pop TV, Smithsonian Channel and The CW will continue to be carried on YouTube TV.
At this point, no set launch dates for the additional 14 networks have been announced.
As of May 2020, YouTube TV features 70+ networks for $50 per month. The streaming TV service last raised its monthly rate in April of 2019 when it added Discovery-owned networks to its list of channels.
We don’t know if YouTube TV is planning to adjust its monthly price with the addition of the ViacomCBS channels, but it’s possible.
During the coronavirus pandemic, there’s been more interest in streaming TV. Several live TV streaming services, including YouTube TV, have offered extended free trial periods over the last few months.
