If you are a current or prospective T-Mobile customer, you may have a way to save on your live TV streaming service for the next 12 months.

And if you’re already getting a streaming discount from the popular wireless phone network, you may get a chance to extend that discount for even more savings.

T-Mobile formed partnerships with live TV streaming services YouTube TV and Philo after its own streaming service, dubbed T-Vision, failed in 2021.

The result of those relationships is a pair of promotions that could save users hundreds of dollars on streaming.

Those deals were slated to last for a limited time, but now’s there an extension that could keep your savings rolling through 2023!

How To Save on YouTube TV and Philo as a T-Mobile Customer

As a T-Mobile customer, you have the option to get $10 off per month on live TV streaming subscriptions from YouTube TV or Philo for one year.

This reduces the monthly bill for YouTube TV from $64.99 to $54.99 and the Philo price from $25 per month to $15.

To qualify for this deal, you need to be an active T-Mobile wireless or home internet customer.

I was able to access the offer by going to T-Mobile’s website and clicking on the “TV” tab on the site menu:

Once you’ve reached this screen, just click “Redeem Now” on the offer that you prefer.

That will take you to a screen that requires you to enter your T-Mobile information and follow the instructions to gain access to the streaming service at the promised reduced rate:

If you already subscribe to YouTube TV, note that you’ll have to cancel your subscription and re-subscribe through T-Mobile’s process in order to claim the discount.

T-Mobile Extends Discount for Users Already Enjoying the Streaming Perk

If you’re one of the T-Mobile customers who took advantage of the $10 per month discount when it was first announced in March 2021, you should be able to “double dip” with at least a second year of discounts, thanks to the extension of this promotion.

This deal was originally announced as a limited-time offer in 2021, and the original discount code expired in December 2021.

But the extensions mean users who haven’t yet claimed the deal still can do so, and users who already have the deal may be able to keep their discount beyond the original 12 months.

Philo Will Offer the Discount Long Term

According to The Streamable, a website that carries news about streaming, Philo subscribers who were getting the T-Mobile discount were notified via email that T-Mobile has extended it beyond the initial 12 months.

The fine print indicates that Philo subscribers already enjoying the discount will continue to be able to pay the $15 per month rate for as long as they’re active customers of both T-Mobile and Philo.

As noted earlier, T-Mobile users who have not claimed this $10 per month discount still can do so.

YouTube TV Will Offer Deal Into 2023

YouTube TV also has committed to extending its offer into 2023, according to the fine print I was able to find on the offer from its website.

T-Mobile wireless and internet customers who have not taken advantage of this deal will be able to claim it through March 29, 2023.

And, as mentioned previously, it doesn’t matter if you’ve been a YouTube TV customer in the past: “Discount offer available for all T-Mobile customers, regardless if user has enrolled in YouTube TV in the past.”

Final Thoughts

This is good news all the way around for T-Mobile customers looking to save some cash on their streaming TV bills.

If you haven’t taken advantage of this deal already, T-Mobile has extended the amount of time you have to sign up and get in on it.

And if you’re already enjoying the deal, it appears that T-Mobile has reached an agreement to keep your savings rolling provided that you remain a customer.

This is just one of the handful of streaming TV opportunities that T-Mobile has offered its customers in recent months. A look at the company website also shows promotions for claiming a free year of Paramount+ and it again has offered baseball fans a free subscription to MLB.TV (a $140 value) to watch baseball games all season.
