Sling TV is responding to YouTube TV’s price hike by offering new and existing subscribers a one-year price guarantee.

Here’s how it works: For customers who sign up or have an existing account by August 1, 2020, Sling TV will automatically guarantee its current price on any service through August 1, 2021.

Sling TV’s Orange and Blue plans are $30 separately, but you can combine them and pay $45 a month.

Sling TV Offers New Price Guarantee and Extended Free Trial

In addition to the price guarantee, Sling TV is offering a 14-day free trial through July 6. The service typically offers a free trial period of only seven days.

This news comes one day after YouTube TV added ViacomCBS networks and raised its starting price by $15.

Sling TV has always been priced below YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV and AT&T TV Now. With the new promotion, Sling TV subscribers can guarantee a year’s worth of streaming for as little as $360.

Before you sign up for Sling TV, here are a few things you want to consider:

  1. Sling TV offers fewer local stations (ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX) than its competitors. You may need to purchase a digital TV antenna to pick up those stations.
  2. Only 10 hours of cloud DVR storage comes with the base plan. You can pay $5 a month for 50 hours.
  3. Sling Orange is a single-stream service, while Sling Blue allows you to watch on up to three screens at a time. Compare the channel lineups here.
  4. There are no contracts or long-term commitments with Sling TV.
