You’ll soon be able to enjoy both the NFL Network and the NFL RedZone channel on the live TV streaming platform.

Here are the details:

Hulu + Live TV Will Have NFL Network and NFL Red Zone in 2021

The NFL announced this week that it has reached an agreement with Hulu to bring both the NFL Network and the NFL RedZone channel to Hulu + Live TV by August 1, 2021.

“With the addition of NFL Network and NFL RedZone to our channel lineup, Hulu + Live TV continues to be the ultimate destination for sports fans to watch thousands of hours of live sports programming,” Reagan Feeney, Hulu’s SVP of Live TV Content Programming & Partnerships, said in a news release. “Starting with the 2021 NFL season, our viewers will have a front row seat to exclusive live games, original shows and other NFL content year-round.”

What the release did not say is how much extra this is going to cost.

The base package for Hulu + Live TV is $64.99 per month. That’s the same price as YouTube TV’s 85+ channel base package, which includes the NFL Network.

But the NFL RedZone channel costs YouTube TV subscribers an additional $10.99 per month as part of the service’s Sports Plus package.

What Content Is Aired on the NFL Network?

The NFL Network airs National Football League content 24 hours a day.

During the NFL season, the network is home to live Thursday Night Football games. And it carries additional regular-season games that are exclusive to the network, such as the Thanksgiving Night game.

You also can catch replays of games throughout the season.

However, the channel offers much more than just games. There is daily original content as well.

Shows such as Good Morning Football and NFL Fantasy Live have strong followings for their daily and year-round content.

What Is the NFL RedZone Channel?

While the NFL Network is a traditional year-round TV channel, the NFL RedZone channel is a more specialized, seasonal offering.

This channel is popular during the NFL regular season, which typically runs from September to January.

Each Sunday, it airs seven hours of live football — but not as a traditional broadcast.

Instead, it’s a hosted television show that moves from game to game in order to highlight all of the big plays as the games are happening in real time.

It can show up to eight games at once with the use of an “Octobox” screen to ensure that you don’t miss any of the action.

Here’s how the NFL describes the premium channel:

“NFL RedZone is an all-in-one channel where fans can watch 7 hours of live football, and see every touchdown from every game, every Sunday afternoon during the NFL regular season.

“When a team reaches the 20-yard line, (i.e. the “red zone”) NFL RedZone cuts to the local broadcast of that game. NFL RedZone also takes fans back to watch any turnovers, game-changing plays and scoring plays outside of the designated red zone, so they can see all the incredible action Sunday afternoon games have to offer.”
