If you find yourself sitting around the TV as the weather gets colder, you may find that Black Friday and Cyber Monday is the perfect time to try a new streaming TV service.

You’ll find that live TV streaming services and video-on-demand streaming services alike are offering free or discounted services during the popular holiday shopping weekend.

So rather than send you on a wild goose chase to find the deal that suits you best, Team Clark has rounded up some of the discounts that we’ve observed in the days leading into the holiday weekend.

Oh, and if you spot a deal that has emerged since this story was published or found one we missed, please let everyone know in the comments below. We can all save together!

1. Hulu Is Offering a Great Annual Deal

Hulu + Live TV streaming service

This is an oldie but a goodie. It has been reported that Hulu will bring back its Black Friday deal of 99 cents per month for an annual subscription.

This knocks the price of Hulu’s ad-supported tier down from $7 per month to $12 for the entire year. It will launch at midnight on Thanksgiving (Nov. 25) and will be available through Cyber Monday (Nov. 29).

Check Hulu’s official website at that time to sign up for the deal.

This deal is for the on-demand version of Hulu, not the Hulu + Live TV subscription that recently announced a price hike that is scheduled to hit subscribers in December.

2. YouTube TV Customers Can Enjoy HBO Max for Free

If you are a YouTube TV customer, you’re going to get a six-day window of free HBO Max.

From Tuesday, Nov. 23 through Sunday, Nov. 28, YouTube TV customers will have access to HBO content within the YouTube TV ecosystem. You don’t have to do anything to activate this preview nor do you need to do anything to cancel it when it’s over.

If you go to your YouTube TV channel menu, you should see access to all of the HBO channels for free:

You’ll also have on-demand access to certain parts of the HBO Max service within the YouTube TV app, but you will not have access to the HBO Max native app itself. You’d need to sign up for an HBO Max account to enjoy the full experience.

3. Purchase Up to 17 Discounted Streaming Subscriptions Through Amazon Prime Video

If you use Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service (this is included for free with an Amazon Prime membership), you can get discounted access to many popular on-demand streaming services by adding those “channels” on Prime Video.

As part of a Black Friday deal that lasts through Cyber Monday (Nov. 29), you can add 17 subscriptions at a discounted price of 99 cents per month for up to two months. That’d take you through the New Year’s holiday.

Here are the streaming services and add-on channels that are eligible for this discount as a Prime Video channel:

  • Starz
  • Showtime
  • Paramount+ Premium
  • AMC+
  • Discovery+
  • EPIX
  • Noggin
  • PBS Masterpiece
  • Britbox by BBC
  • Lifetime Movie Club
  • PBS Kids
  • UP Faith & Family
  • Allblk
  • PBS Documentaries
  • A&E Crime Central
  • Motortrend
  • Ryan and Friends Plus

This is a particularly good deal on Showtime ($10.99 per month normal price) and Paramount+ Premium ($9.99 per month normal price).

You’ll want to make sure you set a calendar reminder to cancel these subscriptions before the end of your trial period if you don’t want to pay full price at the end of the two months.

4. Grab a Free Month of Paramount+

From now through Cyber Monday (Nov. 29), you can get a free month of Paramount+ by signing up using the promo code “PEAKSALE”.

Paramount+, formerly known as CBS All Access, has content from many popular shows from CBS, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and other ViacomCBS properties. It also has original series and access to live sports and news.

5. NBC’s Peacock Was Offering Half-Off An Annual Premium Subscription

This one may not help at the moment, but it’s something to monitor through Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

NBC’s Peacock streaming service was offering a pre-Black Friday deal of 50% off an annual subscription to its Premium tier by using the promo code “TODAY.” That dropped the $49.99 subscription down to $24.99.

However, as of Tuesday afternoon, it appears that deal has been pulled.

As you’ll see below, I received a “redeemed a maximum number of times” message when I tried to use it:

That may mean the party is over, or it could simply be a temporary pause in the deal until NBC decides to offer a new code.

Peacock, which is the on-demand streaming home of popular shows such as The Office and Yellowstone, is one of the rare premium video streaming services that offers a free tier. So you can actually try out portions of this service without committing to a subscription.

6. Get Discovery+ for Less Than a Dollar Per Month

If you haven’t tried the Discovery+ streaming service that launched earlier in 2021, now may be a good time to give it a shot.

As part of a Black Friday sale that is available through Cyber Monday (Nov. 29), you can get your first three months of Discovery+ for 99 cents each.

This is one of those deals that requires you sign up for auto-billing that will charge you $4.99 per month after your promotional period ends, so set yourself a reminder to cancel if you don’t want to keep it at full price.

This streaming service has on-demand content from several popular cable channels, such as HGTV, Food Network, Discovery Channel and the HISTORY Channel.

7. Try Sling’s Live TV Service for a Month for Just $10

This deal isn’t explicitly labeled as a Black Friday or Cyber Monday deal, but it’s definitely worth including in this roundup.

You can get either Sling Orange or Sling Blue for just $10 for the first month with no long-term obligation. And if you’d like both, you can do that for $20 for the first month.

If you’ve been wanting to try out Sling TV as a potential cost-saving live TV streaming service, this is a great opportunity to get a cheap month of service heading into the holidays.
