Black Friday isn’t just a great day to find deals on electronics! Many pet owners use the day after Thanksgiving to stock up on food and supplies for their dogs and cats.
PetSmart and Petco typically offer deep discounts on pet essentials for Black Friday — and this year is no exception.

PetSmart Black Friday 2017: Stock up on pet food and supplies
Clark Deals producer Sarah Jordan went through PetSmart’s Black Friday ad for 2017, which includes some doorbuster deals with the lowest prices of the year.
Here are some of the deals she found:
- Purina Tidy Cats 35 lb. pails for $8.99 (normally $12.99)
- Buy one, get one free select 12.5-20.4 lb. bags of dog food
- Buy one, get one free select 4-8 lb. bags of cat food
- Aqueon 36 gallon LED tank and stand ensemble for $99.99 (normally $249)
- Grreat Choice XL dog beds for $17.99 (normally $39)
- 50% off grooming services all day Friday, November 24
According to PetSmart’s ad, you can shop early on Petsmart.com on Thanksgiving Day with free shipping and no minimum, but there are some exclusions.
The very best bargains are available in stores from 7 a.m. to noon on Friday, November 24.
A number of pet owners on Reddit said the cat litter deal is enough to get them to the store on Black Friday to stock up for an entire year!
Elphabeth on Reddit: “If you have a bit of storage space and can borrow a car once a year on Black Friday, PetSmart always has a great sale on Tidy Cats clumping litter. I buy a dozen tubs or so and store it in my mom’s garage or her storage building. And it’s not that crazy at PetSmart, not like it is at the mall or Best Buy.”
