The brand gets it name from a Native American Indian idea

The founding document of the Iroquois Confederacy states, “In our every deliberation, we must consider the impact of our  decisions on the next seven generations.” Hence the company’s name!

Though Seventh Generation is based in Vermont, the Iroquois Confederacy was comprised of five warring Iroquois tribes—the Cayugas, Mohawks, Onondagas, Oneidas, and Senecas—who made peace and unified in what is now the state of New York.
