For instance, Walmart brought back its layaway program September 2 to give shoppers a head start on holiday purchases.
The announcement from Walmart coincided with the release of its list of 25 top holiday toys, including a $398 Disney Princess Carriage, something parents may need to save up for!

And if that bothers you, don’t check your mailbox the day after Halloween. That’s when some Black Friday ads will debut, NBC News reports.
Whether it’s Thanksgiving or Christmas displays, there are people on social media who says it’s all happening too soon! Hobby Lobby has several aisles of Christmas items for sale.

As for Hobby Lobby and other stores like it, they have said they put up their Christmas displays earlier than other retailers to accommodate people who are into crafting and need the supplies.
Big savings in store
Given all of the turmoil in the retail industry, perhaps this trend shouldn’t be a surprise.
As Clark has mentioned on the radio show, we’re entering a “heavily promotional” period for retailers, which means you can expect deep discounts on clothing and housewares this holiday season.
The challenging retail atmosphere will result in better-than-average opportunities for savings.
