If you’ve been waiting on a contact-free way to get your groceries at Sam’s Club, the retailer just made things a lot easier.

Sam’s Club announced that it is launching curbside pickup nationwide this month. The warehouse club says it is making the changes to adjust to shoppers’ preferences.

Sam’s Club Is Rolling Out Curbside Pickup

“Sam’s Club members have been integrating technology into their shopping habits for a while with Scan & Go, samsclub.com and in-club pickup,” Lance de la Rosa, Chief Operating Officer, Sam’s Club, says in a news release. “As we continue to innovate to make the shopping experience better and faster for our members, we’re proud to be able to quickly implement and offer curbside pickup across the country, particularly during a time when they are searching for alternative ways to shop.”

Here are some things to know about Sam’s Club curbside pickup service:

Where Is Sam’s Club Curbside Pickup Service Available?

Sam’s Club curbside pickup is expected to be available at all of the company’s nearly 600 locations in the United States.

Check with your local Sam’s Club to see when they are expected to begin offering the service at a location near you.

When Is Sam’s Club Curbside Pickup Service Available?

Sam’s Club says curbside pickup is expected to be offered at all its U.S. stores by the end of June 2020.

After the company successfully piloted the program at 16 stores, Sam Club is looking to expand curbside pickup across the United States. The company says it is “expediting the rollout” so that shoppers can begin using the service soon.

How Much Will Sam’s Club Curbside Pickup Cost?

Sam’s Club envisions curbside pickup as a free perk for its Plus-level members. However, the retailer is making curbside pickup free for all members for a limited time.

“While free Curbside Pickup is a new Plus member benefit, we recognize all of our members are looking for contact-free shopping options as part of the current environment,” adds de la Rosa. “Because of that, we are going to temporarily make the service available for every member and do what we can to help them get the products they need, when and how they want them.”

Here’s a look at curbside pickup times by membership level:

  • Plus members can schedule curbside pickup orders from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
  • Non-Plus members are limited to pickup times from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

Final Thought

With curbside pickup, Sam’s Club is responding to customers’ desire to order online and have their items delivered to their car during the coronavirus pandemic.
