Macy’s hasn’t officially announced its holiday hours and didn’t immediately reply to our email.

Major retailers have opened on Thanksgiving for the past several years to get a jump on Black Friday, the unofficial start of the holiday shopping season. But amid consumer backlash, many retailers have decided to remain closed on the holiday this year. BestBlackFriday.com previously reported that stores like Costco, Home Depot, Marshalls, Nordstrom and Staples will take the day off.

Here’s a list of 25+ other retailers that won’t open on Thanksgiving.

Meanwhile, mall operator CBL & Associates announced that 73 shopping malls nationwide will also remain closed so that employees can spend time with their families. Mall of America, the nation’s largest shopping mall, announced the same move a week earlier.

Macy’s decision to open on Thanksgiving comes a couple of months after the retailer announced it will close 100 of its 728 stores by early 2017.
