List: Dick’s opened nearly 40 new stores in Q3

After scarfing up the bankrupt Sports Authority, you would think Dick’s Sporting Goods would be content to sit back and relax after converting 22 of those failed locations to its own brand.

But no, Dick’s seems to be on a tear! The leading sports retailer—which also owns the Field & Stream and Golf Galaxy brands—actually opened 36 stores across its portfolio in the third quarter. And now it has plans to bring another 30 stores to market by the end of the fourth quarter!

36 new store locations across the Dick’s, Golf Galaxy and Field & Stream brands

According to Dick’s quarterly earnings release, these are the stores that were opened during the 13-week period that ended Oct. 29, 2016:

Up next for the retailer? Converting 30 Golfsmith stores it now owns to the its own Golf Galaxy brand. Expect to see the move take place by the end of the fourth quarter, according to reports.
