Amazon is pretty much rolling out the red carpet for Prime members this holiday season. Not only are there great deals going on right now, but Prime subscribers will be able to see the new “Aquaman” before the rest of us.

“Aquaman,” based on the D.C. Comics superhero and starring Jason Momoa in the title role and Amber Heard, is expected to be one of the biggest films over the holidays. Alas, it’s Prime members who will get to dive in first.

Amazon Prime members can see an exclusive showing of ‘Aquaman’ before its official release

In exclusive showings on December 15, 2018 — a full week before it officially hits U.S. theaters — Prime members can ride the wave to a participating theater near them. Subscribers can buy up to 10 movie tickets for the prime time screenings.

The offering is just another sign of the considerable muscle Amazon has, not only in the retail and food space, but now in entertainment. The world’s largest online retailer is quietly positioning itself as a major player for TV and movie content all the while sweetening the pot for its Prime subscribers.
