Beat the crowds on Black Friday by using data from Google Maps

For the first time ever, Google is revealing data that shows consumers the peak times for Black Friday shopping. And the surprising fact? It’s not the morning, like most people might think: It’s actually on Thanksgiving night, between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., and then on Black Friday, between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

But, for the entire shopping season, the busiest day is actually not Black Friday — it is the Saturday before Christmas — even though you might find some better deals on certain items on Black Friday.
