If you’re an Aldi shopper, the grocery store is adding a convenient option that also makes it easier to avoid crowds during the coronavirus pandemic.

The company just announced that it is expanding its curbside pickup service to nearly 600 Aldi stores this summer.

Aldi Is Expanding Its Curbside Grocery Pickup Service

Aldi says it is making the move because of a successful pilot and high interest from shoppers.

“Our Curbside Grocery Pickup pilot was quickly embraced by our customers and demand for this service has continued to increase,” Jason Hart, Aldi CEO, says in a news release.

Here are some things to know about Aldi’s curbside grocery pickup service, which is provided by Instacart.

Where Is Aldi’s Curbside Pickup Service Available?

After piloting the program in select markets, Aldi is expanding curbside service to nearly 600 stores across the United States. To find out if Aldi offers the service at a location near you, go to shop.aldi.us and enter your ZIP code.

Another way to find out if your local Aldi already has the curbside pickup option is to search for your store on this list.

When Is Aldi’s Curbside Pickup Service Available?

If curbside pickup is not yet available where you live, keep checking because the service might be coming to your location soon. Aldi’s CEO says curbside service will be expanding “across 35 states over the next several weeks.”

The rollout is expected to be complete by the end of July.

Will Prices Be the Same As In-Store?

Aldi says that prices may be different for online orders than shopping in-store and other extra charges like a “small pickup fee” will be added to each curbside order.

In addition, the store will charge a small fee for bags used during pickup.
