Sam’s Club welcomes Costco members for free this week

Citi, which services the cards, logged more than 1.5 million customer service calls about problems with the transition, the New York Times reported. Online complaints ranged from not receiving their cards to problems activating them.

Following the issues, Citi released this statement:

‘Due to the tremendous response, some customers experienced delays reaching customer service. However, call volumes are starting to return to normal. We sincerely apologize to those who have been inconvenienced and are absolutely committed to serving our existing and new cardmembers.’

In an attempt to capitalize on Costco’s troubles, Sam’s Club ‘ which accepts all major credit cards ‘ is welcoming Costco members for free through July 4. You just need to bring your Costco card to any Sam’s Club location.

We should mention that Clark says the new Costco Visa card comes with better rewards than the old card.
