If you’ve ever thought about switching to T-Mobile’s 5G Home Internet, now is the time to try it out.
T-Mobile recently announced several new perks that will come with 5G Home Internet including a 15-day test drive and up to $500 to cover early termination fees with your current service provider.
5 New T-Mobile 5G Home Internet Perks
Within the last year, T-Mobile has launched 5G Home Internet and expanded its 5G network to be the best available among the big three cell phone service providers. Now, T-Mobile is adding even more perks to its 5G Home Internet service.
As of May 2022, here are the newest additions to T-Mobile 5G Home Internet.
One of the worst things about switching internet service providers (other than shopping for a new plan) is wondering whether or not the new service will actually be better.
1. Test Drive
Fortunately, you can now try Home Internet for 15 days before canceling your current internet service. This is a great way to make sure T-Mobile Home Internet will work for you before letting go of your existing service.
To get started, visit T-Mobile’s website and make sure Home Internet is available at your address. Then, you can sign up for the service as normal. If you aren’t satisfied, you can cancel the service within 15 days, return the gateway device and owe nothing according to a recent news release from T-Mobile.
2. Avoid Early Termination Fees
If you’re stuck in a contract with an internet service provider (ISP), early termination fees may be another reason you’re reluctant to switch. Now, T-Mobile is allowing you to break your current contract at any time by covering any early termination fees up to $500 when you switch to Home Internet.
3. Price Lock
Many ISPs advertise promotional pricing online. You’ll sign up for one monthly rate, but after 12 or 24 months, that monthly rate may increase up to 30% or more. You won’t have to worry about this with T-Mobile.
T-Mobile has implemented what it calls “Price Lock,” which locks in both home and business internet plans at $50 per month with no monthly taxes or fees for as long as you’re a customer.
4. Family Plan Savings
T-Mobile customers with a Magenta MAX family plan can now add Home Internet as if it were just another phone line. That locks the price in at $30 per month, which is a savings of $240 per year on Home Internet!

5. T-Mobile Tuesdays
T-Mobile has a five-year tradition of giving out “more than $1.5 billion in thankings” to customers through various offers and promotions, according to the recent press release.

About T-Mobile 5G Home Internet
If you aren’t familiar with T-Mobile Home Internet, you should know that it works a little differently from standard internet plans because it’s a fixed wireless service.
T-Mobile Home Internet provides access to high-speed 4G LTE or 5G service in your area through a gateway device that acts as a router and a modem. The gateway device converts the signal to Wi-Fi that you can use on your smartphone, computer, tablet and other devices.
While download speeds may be a bit slower than traditional internet, T-Mobile’s 5G network does provide access to some of the fastest speeds available compared to other cellular service providers. According to the website, T-Mobile Home Internet customers can expect download speeds of around 35-115 Mbps.
