Followers of money expert Clark Howard may know that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2009 at the age of 53.

Since then, Clark has adopted a watchful waiting approach rather than seeking active treatment. He undergoes quarterly blood tests and urological exams, as well as an annual biopsy. However, he has not undergone any invasive procedures to date.

Clark got involved with the Prostate Cancer Foundation in 2011 and proudly supports the mission to help people living with prostate cancer.

“I know that when you receive a prostate cancer diagnosis, it’s hard to know where to turn, who to trust, and what to do next. But, I also know that the information available on PCF.org is information you can use, and I know you can trust it.” — Clark Howard

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

Lifestyle factors can influence prostate cancer outcomes. The Prostate Cancer Foundation created Eat It to Beat It which is a challenge to eat 30 healthy foods in 30 days to raise awareness about prostate cancer and encourage healthy lifestyle habits.

Join the challenge at pcf.org/eat!

The Prostate Cancer Foundation

The Prostate Cancer Foundation is dedicated to the research and eradication of prostate cancer.

  • 1 in 9 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
  • A man is diagnosed with prostate cancer every 3 minutes.
  • 1 man dies every 16 minutes from prostate cancer in the United States.

Together we can help support research to help prevent, detect and treat prostate cancer.
