Constellation said the recall is very limited in scope; about one in every 5,000 bottles is affected. So far, no one has reported being injured by drinking the possibly tainted beer.

Consumers can determine if they have bought the impacted product by checking the 8-digit alphanumeric code printed on the side panels of the cardboard cartons and on the necks of the Corona Extra 12-ounce bottles. Visit coronausa.com/recall for a full list of affected codes.
