Maine’s first lady takes summer restaurant job

She says it’s something she always wanted to do.

“So thrilled to join the McSeagull’s team this summer! Having a great time. Great food, great view, and great service!” Ann said on Facebook.

This is the first time she’s taken a side job during her time as first lady. She got the idea from her daughter, a law school student who made $28 an hour waiting tables last summer.

As for Ann, she’s picking up shifts to save up for a new car.

WGME-TV reports that Ann’s husband makes $70,000 a year as governor, which is the lowest rate in the country. Ballotpedia says Pennsylvania’s governor has the highest salary: $187,818.
