Walmart offering 30 days of free shipping to everyone

What’s in it for you? Walmart is offering a 30-day trial of ShippingPass, which gives you unlimited two-day shipping with no minimum orders.

ShippingPass costs $49 a year, which is half the price of Amazon Prime.

For customers who already have ShippingPass, not to worry. You’ll get an extra month for free. Look for details in your email.

Walmart is also teasing ahead to some new “rollbacks” coming in July.

“Walmart is known for everyday low prices, and when we have a special price, it isn’t just for a fleeting moment. Our rollbacks typically last 90 days or longer while supplies last,” said Fernando Madeira, president and CEO of Walmart.com U.S. “Starting July 1, and in the following weeks, you’re going to see some amazing items at great prices kicking in.”

While Walmart’s ShippingPass and Amazon Prime both offer two-day shipping, these programs are very different.

Prime members also get access to streaming video, music and eBooks.
