Check out these $15 sneakers from Aldi

Back during the Great Recession, there was an innovative retailer named Steve & Barry’s. This chain of stores bucked expensive fashion trends by selling the signature shoe from NBA player Stephon Marbury for $14.98.

Steve & Barry’s has since gone out of business, but it seems their cheap footwear ethos has caught on at Aldi.

While perusing the middle aisle at Aldi this weekend, I found a pair of $15 athletic sneakers.

Now, Clark Howard often talks about his $19 Filas that he bought at Costco Wholesale.

Well, all I have to say is….looks like I have Clark beat by $4!

Here are a couple of things to know about the cheap footwear I bought from Aldi:

  • Breathable mesh outsole with memory foam insole
  • Assorted colors
  • Men’s Sizes 9-12
  • Ladies’ Sizes 7-10
  • Half-sizes are available (size 10.5, for example)
  • These shoes are best for walking; you probably wouldn’t want to run a marathon in them!
