Regifting is the practice of presenting someone with a gift that you once received from someone else.
Most people do it to save time and money.
Experts at Regiftable.com declared the third Thursday in December National Regifting Day. This is said to be one of the most common days for holiday office parties.
Whether you think it’s a great idea or downright tacky, a recent survey revealed 83% of people view it as an acceptable practice. Results also showed over half of surveyers said they think they have already been the recipient of a re-gift.
According to Money Management International, some people believe regifting is a smart way to save on holiday expenses. Others think it’s a good method of recycling.
Fun fact: The term regifting came from ‘Seinfeld.’
