As people start to travel again this summer, we’re looking for ways to counter the rising costs of inflation. Now, just in time for vacation, T-Mobile has unveiled T-Mobile Tuesday deals and “Coverage Beyond” with benefits tailored to travelers.

In this article, I’ll take a close look at how to get 25 cents off per gallon at Shell gas stations with T-Mobile and how to access other free travel perks being added to your T-Mobile plan.

How To Get 25-Cents Off per Gallon at Shell Gas Stations With T-Mobile This Summer

T-Mobile has a longstanding tradition of showing appreciation to customers through T-Mobile Tuesdays. In the past, offers have included free and discounted deals from major brands on food, entertainment and even gas. However, T-Mobile’s latest incentive includes a bigger discount on gas than ever before:

“To help take the sting out of rising gas prices, T-Mobile teamed up with Shell and the Fuel Rewards program to give customers an exclusive 25 cents off per gallon of gas this summer through the week of Labor Day via T-Mobile Tuesdays.”

Any T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile or Sprint customer on a qualifying plan can participate, according to T-Mobile’s website. Qualifying rate plans include most consumer and business monthly plans that include voice and data. You should be eligible if you’re on an unlimited plan such as Magenta or Magenta Max. Unfortunately, T-Mobile Connect customers are not eligible.

To get the gas discount at Shell, download the T-Mobile Tuesdays app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Then, sign up with your T-Mobile phone number and check the app every Tuesday to claim this deal.

This discount is valid for up to 20 gallons of gas each week. For more information, check out T-Mobile’s announcement online and learn more about T-Mobile Tuesdays here.

T-Mobile Coverage Beyond: High-Speed Data Worldwide

While the gas discount is one of the most exciting perks that T-Mobile announced, it isn’t the only one. T-Mobile’s Coverage Beyond program offers a variety of travel benefits that will be included with eligible plans.

Coverage Beyond includes expanded worldwide coverage. Beginning June 21, T-Mobile Magenta Max customers will get 5GB of free high-speed data each month, up to 5G speeds where available, in more than 200 countries and destinations. Customers with the Business Unlimited Ultimate plan will get the same benefits.

According to T-Mobile, this makes the carrier the only provider to over this much high-speed data in this many places. Additionally, T-Mobile is doubling download speeds worldwide (from 128kbps to 256kbps).

T-Mobile Coverage Beyond: Free In-Flight Wi-Fi

In addition to expanded coverage on the ground, T-Mobile is now also offering free in-flight connectivity with eligible plans.

T-Mobile says it’s working with in-flight Wi-Fi providers to give customers free connectivity on U.S. airlines. Delta, American and Alaska Airlines will begin offering free Wi-Fi to eligible T-Mobile customers on June 21. United Airlines will follow.

In addition to texting, browsing and emailing on your phone during domestic and overseas flights, T-Mobile customers will be able to stream. That means you can watch your favorite shows and movies on any streaming service for free during your flight!

These perks are available to customers with Magenta Max or Business Unlimited Ultimate plans. Customers with Magenta or Business Unlimited Advanced plans will still get free connection all flight long on four flights per year of the customer’s choice plus a free hour of connectivity on every other flight.

AAA for One Year & Other Travel Benefits

In addition to the gas discount, expanded worldwide coverage and free in-flight Wi-Fi, T-Mobile has partnered with AAA and Priceline to offer two additional travel benefits.

First, T-Mobile has recently become AAA’s official wireless partner. T-Mobile customers on Magenta, Magenta Max and eligible small business plans now get a year of AAA for free with 24-hour roadside assistance.

Second, the cell phone service provider has launched T-Mobile TRAVEL with Priceline, a new website with travel deals exclusive to T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile customers. According to T-Mobile, deals include savings of up 40% on hotels, rental cars, flights and more.

Final Thoughts

If you’re a T-Mobile customer on a qualifying plan, be sure to take advantage of these benefits this summer. Even if you aren’t traveling much, you can still use the 25-cent-per-gallon discount at Shell gas stations. Simply download the T-Mobile Tuesdays app to get started. Also, don’t forget that you’re eligible for a year of AAA roadside assistance.

If you’re a T-Mobile customer and you do plan on traveling this summer, check out T-Mobile’s website to see if you’ll have free high-speed data at your destination or on your flight. If you haven’t planed your trip yet, check out T-Mobile TRAVEL with Priceline to see if you can save.

While these benefits are available to T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile and Sprint customers on qualifying plans, they aren’t available to everyone. Depending on your current cell phone plan, it may or may not be worth switching to a qualifying T-Mobile just for these benefits alone. However, if T-Mobile offers coverage in your area for a cheaper rate than your current plan, I recommend that you consider making the switch.
