Boost Mobile has unveiled several new plans in the last year that are bolstering its status as one of the cheapest cell phone service providers. Most recently, Boost Mobile has launched a $25 monthly unlimited plan.

I checked out Boost Mobile’s new plan and read the fine print to find out exactly what you’ll be getting for $25 a month. You can check out the details below.

Boost Mobile’s New $25 Monthly Unlimited Phone Plan

Boost Mobile has recently announced a new unlimited monthly plan for $25. The plan is available to new customers only.

Late last year, Boost Mobile launched several annual “Carrier Crusher” plans under AT&T’s network. The annual plans include one unlimited option for $300 total, which works out to be $25 per month for service. Now, Boost Mobile is offering the same deal on a monthly prepaid plan.

Here’s what the $25 monthly unlimited plan includes:

  • Unlimited talk & text
  • Unlimited mobile data
  • Free SIM kit
  • Free shipping

According to Boost Mobile’s website, you’ll have access to 30GB of high-speed monthly data. Once you exceed your monthly data allotment, speeds will be reduced for the remainder of your service month.

The $25 monthly price includes taxes and fees but requires autopay. To see if you’re eligible for this plan, visit Boost Mobile’s website and click “Check Availability Now.” You can also check your cell phone’s compatibility with Boost Mobile to see if you can bring your own phone to the new plan.

According to the website, the SIM card and plan “works on most unlocked GSM phones.” However, I recommend taking your phone to a nearby Boost Mobile store to verify eligibility before you order a SIM card online

More Cheap Phone Plans From Boost Mobile

In addition to Boost Mobile’s new $25 monthly unlimited plan, the cell phone service provider offers a variety of other prepaid plans with commitment terms ranging from a month to a year.

Here are the additional monthly plans available from Boost Mobile:

  • $15 for 2GB of high-speed data
  • $25 for 5GB of high-speed data
  • $50 for 35GB of high-speed data + 12GB additional mobile hotspot
  • $60 for 35GB of high-speed data + 30GB additional mobile hotspot

All these plans include unlimited talk, text and 2G data speeds once you’ve met your monthly high-speed data allotment. You can also share data via mobile hotspot with any Boost Mobile plan, though it will count toward your monthly high-speed data allotment.

Three-month plans from Boost Mobile include $45 total for 5GB of high-speed data per month and $90 total for 35GB of high-speed data per month + 12GB of additional mobile hotspot.

A six-month plan is available for $90 total, which includes 5GB of high-speed data per month. Annual plans begin at $100 for 1GB of high-speed data per month. You can check out a full list of Boost Mobile’s annual Carrier Crusher plans here.

What To Know Before Signing Up for Boost Mobile

Boost Mobile is a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) that offers prepaid plans on AT&T’s network. (Older plans may still operate on T-Mobile’s network.)

Boost Mobile offers some of the cheapest plans available including an annual plan that works out to be just $8.33 per month. However, Boost Mobile’s cheaper plans won’t work on every phone.

And if you decide to bring your own phone, there’s a one-time $25 activation fee that isn’t advertised online.

Before you buy a new device or order a SIM card, I strongly recommend that you visit a Boost Mobile store first to make sure that your phone is compatible with the plan you’d like to purchase.

I also recommend checking out Boost Mobile’s coverage map online to make sure you’ll have service in your area.

To learn more about Boost Mobile, including why I recommend starting your service in-store only, check out my full review of Boost Mobile. I tested the service myself earlier this year.
