How reliable is your car? Automakers always promote their vehicles as having the latest and greatest features that will stand up to the rigors of the road, but as we’re about to find out, those qualities change from year to year.
The newly released Consumer Reports Vehicle Reliability Ratings ranked 2019 model cars based on a survey from 500,000 car owners. To answer the question of how well their 2019 cars were built, vehicle owners reported on everything from infotainment systems to engine performance to brake systems and more.
Here are the top 10 reliable vehicles for 2019
The ratings include several falls from grace, including some of America’s favorite automakers. Stalwarts such as Honda and Dodge fared less than ideally, as did Tesla, which has relatively few models on the market.
Other automakers pulled off some surprises. Mazda, for instance, scored the biggest improvement from the previous year.
