Destination: Cabo San Lucas
About this photo: My family and I took a trip to Cabo San Lucas last summer. I had done a lot of research about the things to do around Cabo and had read about a place called Cabo Pulma which is a couple hrs drive from Cabo San Luca. We took a tour offered by a local company that took us right up to where the Sea Lions were laying on the rocks. We jumped in and started swimming and all around us the sea lions were diving in the water. AMAZING!! The sea lions allowed us to swim right up to them and they were as curious about us as we were about them.
Best deal found: Believe it or not taking a 3 hr tour of a time share. We were able to get a snorkel cruise for 4, a sunset cruise for 4, two 2-hr massages, 2 ATV tours and $350 US CASH!! Well worth the time we sat listening to the sales pitch. And the time share we toured was actually the place we were staying so we didn’t have to go anywhere.

Destination: Capetown, SA
About this photo: This photo was taken from a boat leaving the harbor of the wharf area of Capetown (going to Robben Island where Mandela was held). A portion of the “Table Mountain” mountain range is in the background. The soccer stadium is just off to the right.
Best deal found: I actually was a part of a Mission group so most of the costs were already determined. However, in the downtown area, there was an open-air, free-trade African market where you could negotiate prices and, based on your skill level, could get some good deals.

About this photo: Went to Taipei Taiwan to meet my girlfriends family between Dec 2008 and Jan 2009. So on New Years they told me we had to go to Taipei 101 and see the fireworks. They were the most amazing fireworks I had seen and I was trying to film them but I had forgotten to change from picture to video, so I got a nice little surprise photo in the end.
Best deal found: Went through Sams Club and got the best deal I could find.

Destination: Klamath Falls, Oregon
About this photo: This is one of many that I took while I was visiting my dad during my vacation. The park wasn’t completely open because there was still a lot of snow removal needed to be done to clear the rim roads. As you can see there was still lots to take photo’s of. It’s about as close to God as you can get! Absolutely awesome. The last time I was at that park was almost 50 years ago.
Best deal found: For me it was just the opportunity to visit my 85 year old dad!

About this photo: This is the Birch Point area of Milbridge, Maine. It is part of a peninsula that is part of a larger peninsula. Still one of the most affordable areas to purchase ocean front land with substantial acreage.
Best deal found: A lot that is about 900 feet from the area photographed is 50K. Other lots in the area are 20K-50K across from the ocean, with deeded ocean rights.

Destination: Alaska Cruise
About this photo: The date was wrong on my camera. It was this month. My first stop in Sitka and I loved it. This was a little harbor we found walking the town, with our ship docked out behind it. We celebrated out 39th anniversary on this cruise!

Destination: Great Smoky Mountains Nat’l Park
About this photo: We were driving through Cades Cove early in the morning, and my 9 year old son noticed this “spotlight” shining through the trees.
Best deal found: We spent one day in Gatlinburg, TN. I knew parking was at least $5 for the day, and that a great deal of walking was involved. On our way to town, my two young children and I stopped at the visitor’s center. I found out that for $2/per person, I could get an all-day trolley pass. This worked out much better because we could get on and off as we pleased, and ride in the air-conditioning on the hot and rainy day that we were there.
