Best deal found: We booked a flight out of Talkeetna to fly up and see the Alaska range and glaciers. Once we got to the airport they asked us if we minded landing on Ruth Glacier too since our flight didn’t have enough folks on it. They didn’t charge us anything extra. We would have had to pay more if we had booked it with a glacier landing. 🙂

Best deal found: Instead of staying at a hotel, my sister and I rented an apartment on the Singel Canal. We ate at local restaurants recommended by the man we rented from and walked everywhere.

Best deal found:  As you can tell in this picture, I had lost a lot of weight. So much so that I had to wear suspenders to hold up my shorts. I got over being a finicky eater, though. Looks like dinner was free that night.
