Best Value Hotels
TripAdvisor has recently announced the 10 Best Value Hotels in the U.S. this fall, based on traveler reviews and TripAdvisor price comparison of 200 booking sites for the lowest seasonal hotel rates. To qualify as a Best Value Hotel, a property must have at least 3.5 stars and four bubbles on TripAdvisor, and offer seasonal nightly average rates that are at least 20% below the city average and cost less than $300 per night.
The average nightly rate of a U.S. Best Value Hotel this fall on TripAdvisor is $235 and travelers can save an average of 32% compared to the city’s seasonal average hotel price.
Properties in popular travel destinations that offer the combination of quality rooms and amenities, great location and low prices are often trendy or fun independent properties with local flavor.
Case in point: Inn of the Governors in Santa Fe, New Mexico. TripAdvisor pricing starts from $239 per night this fall. This authentic southwest-style hotel has been renowned for intimacy, charm and tranquility for more than 50 years. The property is within walking distance to the Georgia O’Keefe gallery and 2 blocks from Loretto Chapel and 3 blocks from Santa Fe Plaza.
Brightly decorated rooms feature hand-carved furnishings, Native American rugs and Southwest-patterned rugs, plus decorative tin mirrors and showers with Talavera tiles. Garden patios, wood-burning kiva fireplaces and private balconies are also available in some rooms.
The hotel offers free hot breakfast and an evening reception with tea and sherry. There’s a heated outdoor pool and a bar/restaurant known for its margaritas. Parking is included.
