$69 To Europe!
Starting in June, Norwegian Air Chief Executive Bjørn Kjos promises the cheapest trans-Atlantic airfares U.S. travelers have ever seen – with an introductory offer as low as $69 one way, flying on a new Boeing 737 MAX between Ireland or Scotland and the U.S. East Coast.
Pending approval by the U.S. Department of Transport (DOT), Kjos says he’ll greatly expand the carrier’s global network, including a plan to offer low-cost flights from Seattle to London on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Norwegian already flies 787 Dreamliner widebody jets into large airports including Boston, New York, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
Premium fares on these routes average $600 each way to Europe from east coast cities, and economy fares from $300 and on occasion lower.
Starting in May, Norwegian will fly its first new 737 MAX, the new narrowbody Boeing jet, with even lower fares, from Dublin and Cork in Ireland or Edinburgh in Scotland, into smaller U.S. airports including Stewart International, north of New York city, and Providence, Rhode Island.

NOTE: Airline fees can and often do exceed the cost of your flight! Additional charges now apply to budget and sale rates on most airlines for a carry-on bag, checked baggage and advance seat assignments. The least expensive fees are charged when these options are purchased during the ticket booking process. Fees climb higher after flights are reserved and even higher when adding these options at airport check-in. Kayak offers the most up-to-date Fees Chart for all domestic and international airlines.
