American to reintroduce free meals on select routes

Vegetarian options and a fruit and cheese plate will also be available.

‘Providing complimentary meals in the Main Cabin is yet another step we’re taking to enhance our service,’ said Fernand Fernandez, vice president – Global Marketing.

Delta announced it was bringing back free meals in coach in February. No word yet from third competitor United on free meals for their passengers.
