Mall-based retailer The Limited is closing all of its nearly 250 stores across the country, but it will continue to have an online presence.
The Associated Press says that 4,000 jobs will be lost. All stores will be closed by January 8.

The Limited closing: Here’s what we know
A check of TheLimited.com shows a banner at the top that says, “All sales final. Please allow 10 business days for processing.” We discovered that all items appear to be at least 50% off and sometimes more.
On its website, the retailer posted the following message:
We’re sad to say that all The Limited stores nationwide have officially closed their doors.
But this isn’t goodbye.
The styles you love are still available online – We’re just a quick click away 24 hours a day.
