If you love Sephora, you’ll soon be able to find it inside dozens of additional J.C. Penney stores!
The department store chain says it’s adding 70 new Sephora store-within-a-store locations and expanding 32 existing locations starting May 5.
Sephora will be available in nearly 650 J.C. Penney stores nationwide in 2017.

New, expanded Sephora inside JCP locations
“Creating a best-in-class beauty experience in stores is one of our biggest advantages over the competition. Since establishing the first Sephora inside JCPenney over 10 years ago, beauty has become a formidable growth strategy that makes our brick and mortar stores a dynamic and inspiring place to shop,” said Marvin Ellison, chairman and CEO of JCPenney.
According to a company news release, Sephora locations inside J.C. Penney feature up to 2,600 square feet of cosmetics, skincare, fragrances and beauty accessories.
About 800 beauty consultants will be hired to work in the new and expanded locations.

This comes as J.C. Penney is in the process of closing 138 under-performing department stores by the end of July. It’s one of the major retailers closing a combined 3,000 stores this year.
