Use mayo instead of butter for the best grilled cheese
Step 1: Spread mayonnaise (or Miracle Whip if you’d like) on two slices of bread. Skip the butter!
Step 2: Place one piece of bread into the pan with the mayo side down. Add your choice of cheese.
Step 3: Put the second slice of bread on top with the mayo side up. Let the bottom slice of bread cook on low to medium heat for about 3 to 4 minutes.
Flip the sandwich over and wait until the other side is golden brown.
Step 4: Plate it up and enjoy the most delicious grilled cheese sandwich you’ve had in ages!
If you’re looking for a more grown-up version of this childhood favorite, BudgetBytes.com has a recipe for spinach feta grilled cheese for only $1.70 a serving.
