It’s always good to be thinking ahead.

Plan your next career move with this list in mind

Whether you’re fresh out of school or in the prime of your life, it’s wise to be looking toward the future when it comes to the decisions you make about your career.

As technology advances, it changes the way we work — and even the jobs that we do. Some jobs that existed just 20 years ago have gone the way of the dodo, and so it will be with jobs that exist today. The silver lining is that progress creates new jobs as it makes exiting ones obsolete. Knowing what those jobs will look like and obtaining the skills required to do them is key to making sure you don’t get left behind.

Kiplinger has crunched some numbers a come up with a list of the “10 Best Jobs for the Future,” a collection of well-paying positions in fields that are projected to expand greatly in the coming years. It may come as some surpise that while some of the jobs are in the technology sector, the list is nearly dominated by roles in the health care sector — thanks, in part at least, to an aging population.
